What Is Skydiving?

Our experienced and qualified instructors prepare you to experience the thrill and excitement of skydiving by providing you with 30 minutes of training. Connected with a harness, you will jump out of the plane with your instructor. They will take control from beginning to end, allowing you to enjoy the view and experience.

Skydiving is an adventure, and like any adventure it carries some risk — but your safety is our top priority. We use modern, trusted equipment and our instructors are highly trained and fully certified. As a foreign affiliate of the USPA, we follow strict international safety standards, and we work closely with the TCAA and ZAA to ensure a safe, smooth experience from takeoff to landing.

What to Bring

On the day, wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes like trainers or sneakers. Eat a light meal, drink some water and avoid too much alcohol the night before. Bring your booking confirmation and your sense of adventure.

Your tandem instructor will explain how everything works: the harness, aircraft exit, body position in freefall and how to lift your legs for landing. It’s relaxed, clear and designed especially for first-time skydivers.

What Happens After Your Jump

After Landing

You and your instructor will make a soft landing on or near Kendwa Beach, depending on conditions. Once your harness is off, there’s time to breathe, laugh and take in what you’ve just done.

If you chose a photo or video package, our team will prepare your media so you can see your jump from a new angle. Many guests watch their video straight away, relive the freefall and share it with friends and family.

You’re already on one of Zanzibar’s most famous beaches. After your skydive, you can swim, relax on the sand, grab a drink, watch other jumpers land or stay to enjoy the sunset over Kendwa and Nungwi.

Absolutely incredible experience! This was my very first skydive, and although I was really nervous at the beginning, my instructor JJ made me feel completely safe and comfortable from the very first moment. As the jump got closer, I became more and more relaxed and was able to fully enjoy the experience. The feeling was unbelievable — I honestly wanted to jump again straight away! An amazing experience that I’ll never forget. I still can’t quite believe I actually did it. Thank you so much, JJ, for making this such an unforgettable experience! I would 100% skydive here again. Highly recommended!

Meine Frau und ich haben uns entschieden, in Sansibar gemeinsam unseren ersten Fallschirmsprung zu machen und es war ohne Zweifel einer der schönsten Tage unseres Lebens! Von Anfang an haben wir uns bei Jayson (Jay Jay) und Michael absolut sicher und bestens aufgehoben gefühlt. Beide haben uns mit ihrer ruhigen, professionellen und freundlichen Art jede Nervosität genommen. Sie haben uns alles verständlich erklärt und uns während des gesamten Erlebnisses ein unglaubliches Gefühl von Sicherheit gegeben. Ein besonderes Dankeschön geht an Michael! Er hatte definitiv keine leichte Aufgabe mit mir. 😄 Ich bin 183 cm gross und wiege 107 kg, obwohl das offizielle Limit bei 105 kg liegt. Trotzdem hat Michael alles möglich gemacht, ist absolut professionell geblieben und hat den Sprung mit mir durchgezogen. Dafür bin ich ihm wirklich unendlich dankbar! Der gesamte Ablauf war perfekt organisiert. Die Buchung, Kommunikation und Zahlung liefen unkompliziert über WhatsApp. Schnell, direkt und völlig stressfrei. Mein Tipp: Schreibt direkt über WhatsApp an, anstatt über GetYourGuide zu buchen. Das spart Zeit und Geld. Für meine Frau und mich war es ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, das wir niemals vergessen werden. If you're even thinking about skydiving, stop thinking and just book it with Skydive Zanzibar! From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel welcome, safe, and ridiculously excited. Every step was professional, but also filled with laughs that somehow made jumping out of a plane seem like the most normal thing in the world. A huge shout-out to JJ, what an absolute legend! Calm, encouraging, and clearly passionate about what he does. He made me feel completely at ease, and before I knew it, we were free-falling over the breathtaking turquoise waters of Zanzibar.
