Skydive Zanzibar – Tandem Skydives
1. General
This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all tandem skydiving bookings made with African Skydive Ventures Ltd, trading as Skydive Zanzibar (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By making a booking, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Deposits and Payments
- A booking is only confirmed once payment (deposit or full amount, as specified at the time of booking) has been received.
- Deposits are non-refundable, except as outlined in Sections 5 and 6 of this policy.
- Full payment must be completed prior to the skydive, as instructed during the booking process.
3. Customer Cancellations
If you cancel your booking for any reason, the following terms apply:
- More than 14 days before your scheduled jump:
Any amount paid, excluding the non-refundable deposit, may be refunded. - 7–14 days before your scheduled jump:
50% of the total booking price may be refunded. - Less than 7 days before your scheduled jump:
No refund will be issued. - Failure to attend (no-show):
No refund will be issued.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing (email or official messaging channel used during booking).
4. Rescheduling by the Customer
- One reschedule request may be accommodated free of charge, subject to availability, if requested at least 7 days before the scheduled jump.
- Additional reschedule requests or late rescheduling may incur an administrative fee or be treated as a cancellation.
5. Weather and Operational Conditions
Skydiving is a weather-dependent activity. Safety is our highest priority.
If a jump cannot proceed due to weather conditions, safety concerns, aircraft issues, or operational constraints, we will offer:
- A rescheduled jump date or
- A refund of the amount paid, excluding the deposit (unless otherwise stated at the time of booking)
No compensation will be provided for additional costs such as accommodation, transport, or travel changes.
6. Medical and Safety Restrictions
- If you are unable to skydive due to undisclosed medical conditions, exceeding weight limits, intoxication, or failure to follow safety instructions, no refund will be issued.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to review all eligibility, medical, and weight requirements before booking.
7. Late Arrival
Customers must arrive at the designated time specified in their booking confirmation.
- Late arrival may result in the jump being cancelled due to operational constraints.
- In such cases, the booking will be treated as a no-show and no refund will be issued.
8. Gift Vouchers
- Gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash.
- Vouchers are valid for the period stated at purchase and must be used before the expiry date.
9. Third-Party Bookings
Bookings made through travel agents, tour operators, or third-party platforms are subject to both this policy and the terms of the third party. Refunds must be processed according to the original booking channel.
10. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible.
- Refund processing times may vary depending on banks, payment providers, and currency exchange systems.
11. Policy Amendments
Skydive Zanzibar reserves the right to amend this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. The policy in effect at the time of booking will apply.
